How to Apply

Students interested in pursuing the Infection Prevention and Control Certificate or in taking one of the online courses must be admitted to UBC.

New to UBC – see Dates & Deadlines

  1. Become a Non-degree Studies Student (APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED AND WILL RE-OPEN IN JULY 2023)
    • Unclassified (i.e. you have completed an undergraduate degree)
    • Visiting student (i.e. you are enrolled in a degree program at another institution)
    • Access Studies student (i.e. you don’t have a degree but have a diploma or other qualification)
  2. Make arrangements to have an official copy of your academic transcript(s) sent to Non-degree Studies at non.degree@ubc.ca.
  3. Email infectioncontrol@pathology.ubc.ca stating you have completed your application through Non-degree Studies.

Re-Admission to UBC for Returning IPC Certificate Students

For students who have completed one or more of the online IPC courses but were not registered in the last academic session.

Email non.degree@ubc.ca requesting registration eligibility and include the following information:

  1. your full name
  2. your date of birth
  3. your UBC student number

You will then be provided with further instructions.

Visit the Student Service Centre to view your registration eligibility date for the next academic session.
