Presented by: Dr. Steven Loken - He is a practicing anatomical pathologist working at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (Island Health). In addition, he is the Chief Medical Laboratory Officer for Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services (PLMS). He has previously held roles of Medical Director, Department Head, and Executive Medical Director within Island Health.

Step 1: Open https://ubc.zoom.us/ and click on ‘Join a Meeting’.
Step 2: Enter the 11 digit Zoom Meeting ID found above, then click ‘Join.’
Step 3: If you have the Zoom client click ‘Open Zoom Meetings.’
If you do not have the Zoom client click ‘join from your browser.’
Step 4: Enter the last 6 digits of the Zoom Meeting ID found above in the passcode field then click ‘Join Meeting.’

Step 1: Dial +1 778 907 2071 and follow the prompts.

In order to receive CME credit for a Professional Advancement Learning Series (PALS), the follow form a must be used and submitted to Program Assistant by e-mail or by regular mail:

How to attend remotely:
Note: Use a computer. Mobile devices (smart phones, tablets) are not supported.

  • Web-browser: In Chrome browser, go to http://meet.vc.ubc.ca and enter the 5 digit conference/bridge ID. For instructions and troubleshooting, see the Web Browser User Guide.

  • Faculty, Graduate Students and others are also welcome to attend.
  • CME Certs: for Faculty, Fellows and others, pls note an evaluation must be completed, before a CME certificate will be provided. Pls email me if you would like to request a CME cert, and I will send out an Evaluation Form via One45. Once complete, a CME cert will be emailed. Pls note, all the evaluations will be provided to the presenter(s) anonymously.
