THE DANA DEVINE EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AWARD

The Dana Devine Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award was created to honour the incredible legacy of Dr. Dana Devine. This award recognizes any member of the department who has a sustained and demonstrated history of ensuring equity, diversity, and inclusion within research, teaching, and/or unit or department composition. Total: 1 award.

Individuals should meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Demonstrated excellence in supporting and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the university community and its affiliates. For example: research design that is inclusive of people from different racialized groups and sexes; providing opportunities for underrepresented groups to enter educational programs or positions where they have traditionally not been represented.
• Sustained commitment to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion, shown through ongoing efforts and outcomes rather than one-time actions.
• Leadership and advocacy in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion, including initiating or leading projects, programs, or reforms aimed at dismantling systemic barriers and building inclusive practices.
• Direct impact on underrepresented groups, with measurable outcomes or testimonials that demonstrate positive change for these communities.
