Dr. Matthew Yan is a clinical hematologist with a focus in transfusion medicine. He completed his medical school at University of British Columbia, which was followed by residency training in Internal Medicine and Adult Hematology at the University of Toronto. This was followed by a 2-year Royal College area of focused competency diploma in Transfusion Medicine. He is currently practicing as a transfusion medicine physician for the Fraser Health Authority, and as a medical officer for Canadian Blood Services.
