Dr Sukhbir Kaur holds a BMedSc degree in medical science and PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Birmingham (UK), and an MSc degree with distinction in clinical biochemistry from the University of Manchester (UK). Dr Kaur completed her training as a UK Health & Care Professions Council registered Clinical Scientist within the National Health Service in England. Dr Kaur has worked in diverse clinical settings in the UK and Canada ranging from tertiary care centres to rural hospitals. Dr Kaur currently works at LifeLabs Medical Laboratories as a Clinical Biochemist and Laboratory Director. Dr Kaur is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in the UK and the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry. She is also a registered European Specialist in Laboratory Medicine and a registrant of the National Registry of Certified Chemists in the United States. Dr Kaur’s subspecialty interests include point of care testing, kidney disease, cardiac biomarkers, endocrinology, mass spectrometry based specialist testing, cancer, autoimmunity, laboratory medicine in rural communities and in primary care settings.
