Dr. Conklin began his career at Surrey Memorial Hospital before joining the BC Cancer Agency as a consultant Anatomical Pathologist with a focus in Breast and Gynecological Pathology. Dr. Conklin has a strong passion for resident education. He acted as site lead for resident education at the BC Cancer Agency and is very honoured to have been the recipient of the Dr. Roberta Miller Resident Teaching Award (2019).

Dr. Conklin joined Dr. C.J. Coady Associates in 2019, an integrated group of laboratory physicians serving the Fraser Health Region where he is the current director of Anatomical Pathology at Burnaby General Hospital. Dr Conklin is a member of the Breast Pathology Consultant Group within the Fraser Health region, and he is the Fraser Health representative for the Provincial Cervical Cancer Screening Program. His practice includes general Surgical and Cytopathology with a major interest in Breast and Gynecological Pathology and resident education.

Dr. Conklin completed both his medical school training (2008) and residency in Anatomical Pathology (2013) at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He followed this by subspecialty Fellowship training in Breast and Gynecological Pathology at the Stanford School of Medicine (2013-2014), under the supervision of Dr. Teri Longacre.

Prior to his medical training, Dr. Conklin completed a BSc. Degree in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and a MSc. in Anatomy and Cell Biology at UBC focussing on breast cancer treatment, experiences which fostered his interest in medicine and specifically pathology. Outside of medicine, Dr. Conklin is an avid cyclist, a dedicated husband, and a very proud father to two wonderful children.
