Akeida Elliott-Benjamin is a Pathologists’ Assistant at Vancouver General Hospital and a Clinical Instructor in the UBC Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. She completed her Master of Clinical Science in Pathologists’ Assistant Studies at Western University and brings extensive experience in gross examination, complex surgical specimen processing, and education within both academic and community environments. Akeida has supervised residents, fellows, and graduate trainees across multiple institutions and contributes actively to national PA education initiatives.

Research Interest
Akeida’s research includes contributions to neuropathology and forensic pathology, such as studies on fatal falls and vertebral artery transection, and she has ongoing interests in improving diagnostic accuracy through enhanced grossing practices and quality frameworks.
