Dr. Julia Parlow is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at UBC and a Lab Scientist (Genome Analyst) at Vancouver General Hospital. She completed her PhD in Cell & Developmental Biology at UBC, where she trained and mentored undergraduate researchers and taught in Biochemistry. Her current work focuses on cancer genomics, cytogenetics, and laboratory diagnostics, with active projects applying next-generation sequencing to hematologic malignancies and low-pass whole-genome sequencing to refine adult-type diffuse glioma diagnosis.
