Dr. Citlali Marquez is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia and a Senior Scientist at the BC Centre for Disease Control. She holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from UBC, an MSc in Biochemical Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México–Instituto de Biotecnología, and a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Universidad de las Américas, Puebla. Her research focuses on infectious disease seroepidemiology, viral immunology, and the development and validation of serological assays, with extensive contributions to COVID-19 and mpox surveillance in British Columbia.
