I hail from a family deeply rooted in medicine, with three generations of pathologists who have not only embraced the field but have also contributed significantly to its growth and practice. Medicine has been in my blood, and I’ve always been driven by a passion for understanding the complexities of disease and the science behind diagnosing them. This deep family connection to pathology shaped my path early on and inspired me to pursue this specialty with a commitment to excellence.
After completing my residency at NYU Long Island and fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center, I found that my experiences in training further solidified my dedication to this intricate and critical field of pathology. The hands-on exposure, the rigorous training, and the chance to work with some of the best professionals in the field enhanced my skills in diagnostic pathology, molecular pathology, and laboratory management. The art of uncovering the hidden details within tissue samples and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes is something I truly cherish.
Throughout my time in New York, I gained invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of pathology and how advancements in technology are reshaping the field. While my experiences and growth in New York have been invaluable, my heart has always been set on returning to Vancouver, BC. My goal is to integrate cutting-edge advancements in pathology with a personalized approach to patient care, focusing on precision diagnostics, collaboration with clinicians, and ensuring that each case receives the attention it deserves.
