Dr. Taraboanta is currently working as a Consultant Anatomic Pathologist at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. Dr. Taraboanta received his MD from University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Gr. T. Popa” in Iasi, Romania. He completed his Master of Science in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UBC under the illustrious mentorship of Dr. Jiri Frolich. After various positions in Research Coordination and Management he returned as a Clinical Associate at the Healthy Heart Program and Heart Failure Clinic at St. Paul Hospital. He also completed his postgraduate training in Anatomical Pathology at the University of British Columbia before moving into independent practice.
Dr. Taraboanta is a member of various committees at both Health Authority and Provincial levels with a focus on advocating for timely and equal access to care for patients originating in the rural/remote communities he serves.
