Dr. Chen obtained his medical degree at McGill University. He then completed residency in Anatomical Pathology at University of Toronto, followed by a fellowship in hematopathology at ARUP Labs/University of Utah. Dr. Chen currently practices surgical pathology and hematopathology at Vernon Jubilee Hospital part-time, while maintaining a busy lymphoma pathology consultation service at the Cross Cancer Institute/University of Alberta in Edmonton the rest of the time.

Teaching Interest
Extensive interest in medical education, particularly in pathology education. Serving as clinical preceptor for medical students, residents and fellows on a variety of pathology rotations. Completed a term as program director for the University of Alberta Anatomical Pathology residency program (2016-2020).
