Academic Background

  • PhD Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario. My research identified a common integration site for a murine retrovirus that causes thymic T-cell lymphoma. I cloned the intact DNA segment corresponding to the viral/genomic junction site from a library of mouse genomic DNA which I had created in lambda phage. I mapped a pertinent putative gene from this region. 1992
