Dr. Li completed medical school at McGill University, and Medical Microbiology residency training at the University of British Columbia. She worked as a Medical Microbiologist and Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) physician in the acute care hospital setting in British Columbia from 2019 to 2023. She has served as the Program Head for Mycology at BCCDC and as an IPAC medical lead for PHSA since 2024. Her research interests include molecular Mycology diagnostics, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and infection prevention and control.
