Clinical Interests:
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Medicine, followed by a master’s degree in Laboratory Medicine from Peking Union Medical College. I then earned a doctoral degree in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, UBC. After postdoctoral training with Dr. Mari DeMarco, I moved on for the Clinical Chemistry training program at the University of Washington Medical Center. I am now a Clinical Biochemist at Vancouver General Hospital. My clinical responsibility is essential to support high quality patient care across Vancouver Coastal Health system by ensuring accurate and timely test results, and by developing new clinical assays that facilitate clinical diagnosis and treatment. Beyond my clinical service, my career goal is to be a passionate educator nurturing future laboratorians and clinicians, and an avid scientist engaging in translational clinical research. Out of work, I enjoy baking and spending time with my family.
