Dr. Razavi is a UBC trained hematopathologist working in Fraser Health Authority (Royal Columbian Hospital). His previous academic profile includes undertaking undergraduate and graduate degrees from University of Toronto and UWO where he obtained his PHD in pharmacology and critical care medicine. Prior to medical school at the University of Ottawa, he trained as a post doctoral fellow in physiology. Following medical school and briefly training in Anesthesiology he switched residency tracks to complete a hematopathology residency at the University of British Columbia. He is a board certified fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). His professional interests include all areas of benign and malignant hematology, transfusion medicine, coagulation disorders and hemoglobinopathy among others. He is actively involved in resident teaching and resident-lead research projects.
