Dr. Richard Yu is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia and a Hematopathologist at Surrey Memorial Hospital. He earned his MD and completed residency training in General Pathology at Queen’s University, followed by fellowship training in Anatomical Pathology and Hematopathology at UBC. Dr. Yu has over two decades of experience in hematopathology, including prior roles at LifeLabs, BCBio Lab, and MDS Metro. His clinical expertise includes bone marrow diagnostics, flow cytometry, and quality assurance in hematopathology.
